The proposal

Today, I proposed to my girlfriend of two years after eating in a 5-star restaurant. She said that she wasn't ready, and that she would walk home by herself, which she did. A homeless gentleman walked up from behind me, patted me on the back, and said, "Bitches, man." I cried. FML

I propose he might have been in the same situation before.

Just wait awhile, OP. She'll come around eventually.

The bitch thing she did was walk home by herself and not talk to you about it like a mature adult.

How do you know they didn't talk about it later? She probably walked home to avoid awkwardness in public and to think things over. But why am I trying to rationalize anything, I can see you're one of those people who thinks women are "bitches" no matter what they do.

what five star restaurant has homeless guys in it?

good point. Now I'm envisioning the beginning of a rom flick where OP chased his girlfriend to the front steps, she left him there, and the homeless man made a wisecrack.

sad part is I wouldn't be surprised to see that pile in theatres in nine months. it'll star Bradley cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, 90% chance.

She isn't ready for marriage, so she's cheating? GREAT LOGIC! /s

two years isn't that long. i wouldn't be ready after two years.

If she has to think whether she loves you or not, then may be it was for the better.

itll be ok. at least she didnt say yes and then after youve let every one u possibly know that ur engaged, you find out she hasnt told anyone. for what ever reason... smh fml :(((((

Hang in there; I wish you all the best.

Dating for only 2 years seems like a pretty short relationship to start thinking of living together. Just to clarify why I think so: I been best friends with my boyfriend for 10 years, been dating him for almost 7 years. We are in college and are waiting till we can even afford the expenses of our "dream" wedding before we marry. I hope the both of you are still dating and her walking home was a way to not create an awkward date.
