Today, a black cat crossed in front of my truck and I thought to myself that it was funny people believe black cats bring bad luck. Not even two minutes later, I drove my truck into a ditch. FML

Today, I got into my truck after a long day at work, only to notice that a large section of the seats and doors had been destroyed by a feral cat that had somehow gotten trapped inside. I’m still not sure how it got in. FML

Today, I saw a poor helpless cat in the middle of the road while driving. I pulled over and scooped it in my arms to bring it to safety. Not only did I get mauled and scratched by the cat, my car also wasn't put in park and rolled away hitting a parked car. FML

Today, on my way home, a truck driver was speeding next to me and as he passed I saw his truck was the kind that takes livestock to be butchered. I was thinking that I didn’t look to see if there were animals in there. Suddenly, brown items hit my windshield. Yes, it didn’t "hit the fan," it hit my car. FML

Today, I ran over a cat while driving home. I tried to keep myself together but couldn't help but cry because of how bad I felt. Through my tears I failed to notice a porcupine in the middle of the road. Yep, I hit him too. FML

Today, I'd finished cleaning the interior of my vehicle, but seconds later, a stray cat jumped in through the other opened door, and took a dump right in the center of the mat inside. FML

Today, my cat got outside and had the bright idea to walk in the middle of the road, right as a car was coming. The driver didn't notice him, so I had to sprint over there, leap into the road, and toss my cat to safety. He's fine, aside from being soaked (he landed in a puddle), but I've felt better. FML

somehow I have to imagine the cat had nothing to do with your fail driving :/ and apparently a good amount of FML commentators would agree with me :D Don't hate the KurouNekos >.< even though I do realize that this cat I sent to kill you failed :/ but I shall fret not, you'll have to go for another drive soon enough ;)

That's the trick with the black cat myth. It's not really bad luck. It's just that people get distracted with thinking of how bad luck the things are and don't realize they are headed straight for their doom.

You're still alive after you saw a black cat and crashed your truck, and you consider your luck "bad?" It's people who see a magenta-and-ochre cat that have really bad luck! Never heard of the magenta-and-ochre cat? That's because the people that have seen them have REALLY bad luck ;)
