This is why the client requirements are discussed and written up prior to any creation of a website. It is the document that has everything the client wants, what the programmehr/designer has agreed to do as well as anything that designer says they cant do based on the budget given by the client. This document must be signed by both parties in advance. This document then acts as an 'ace up the sleeve' for the designer that, if the situation arrives where the client isnt happy or tries to be sneaky like I suspect in what OP is saying, then showing that you have the client's requirements should put them in their place. General advice being that before you start any project with a customer, get down what they want in writing and have them sign it. Source: Diploma in IT design and systems
Just stand your ground, u tell him it is exactly as agreed upon and give him the only 2 options, accept it and pay in full or you will sue him in court. 2 can play the game. It is most likely a bluff tactic and if u got any proof you will easily win it, dont forget to point that out.
Take the suit and win it. If it's exact, you have nothing to worry about! Good luck, OP!
I had the same thing with a guy in my cinematography class and wanted me to make his next tattoo. He got bitchy and moany after I showed him the final result (and it was the way he wanted) and refused to give me the cash he promised. Still have the design but I put it away cause it ticks me off when I see it
as long as you have at least messages that prove he approved the mock out if not written and signed on paper he's probably just trying to scare you to get free shit if you got the messages no need to worry
Take him to Judge Judy. She'll tear him apart. Lol.
Have you got the emails between you and your client? Have you got the website layouts and other information related to the deal tou made with her? You can use that information in court to prove she's trying to scam you.
Have you got the emails, the website design you showed her and proof She picked that one, or any information regarding the purchase? Use that information in court and she'll be charged for attempting to sue you. Good luck, I hope she gets what she deserves.

He's just trying to get something for nothing. Tell him you will comply, with of course the elimination of all the work you did on the site and he'll back down faster than you can say"scam artist".
Sue his ass right back for being a moron and wasting your time!
