Today, a colleague told me he was pretending to be me on a dating site, and that he has four pending dates. Last time I tried being myself, my first and only date pushed me down some stairs. FML

I think you were being a bit dramatic, OP; they were probably just testing your balance. That's one of the first things I do on dates in an effort to gauge the viability of well-balanced offspring. It's sort of romantic, really.

Just shows you should have given yourself another chance OP. Just because one person may have been messed up, doesn't mean there isn't anyone else out there! GL on your new dates!

It doesn't sound like you're upset that he did it, just that he got more dates than you. Take over and run with it.

Does no one else find it weird that the colleague was pretending to be OP on a dating site? kinda seems like catfishing but I'm assuming for a good reason...

I don't understand why op isn't upset either. The person is using your pictures without consent, probably to **** with people's emotions. I'd be pissed.

Don't give up, try different dating sites maybe?

Well, they say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery.

Well maybe the real you could go on the dates and the people will like you OP! Don't give up hope. There's someone out there for you.

Sounds like you're fighting an up-stairs battle.

I hope your colleague isn't a serial date rapist looking for a new cover...

Why is nobody creeped out by the coworker pretending to be her on dating sites? That's a major red flag for weirdness!

Yeah - the colleague is pretending to be someone they are not - AND possibly using OP's pictures and stuff without their consent - it is very wrong

Hopefully OP is male, because a guy being pretending to be a girl is worse.

I'm guessing you didn't "fall" in love, sorry op!

well, if he is pretending to be you then it will backfire in his face. also, where does it say gender? the OP could be male, but everyone is presuming that OP is female. also, I would point out that all of his dates are 'pending' where you actually had one
