AwkwardHaole808 tells us more.
My friend isn't suffering from depression. She told me she did this stunt because she couldn't get the package that she wanted and that this would "show her parents". Also, yes this doesn't affect me nearly as much as it does her or her loved ones. However, I am her friend and don't want to lose a good friend over something so small.

I'm going to say this again: parents need to not be afraid of disciplining their "precious little babies". This girl sounds like a spoiled little brat that needs nothing more than a good smack and someone to tell her no.
Because the OP is trying to be a good friend, therefore she is dealing as much with her friends problem as her friend's parents are?
Sounds like a spoiled bitch to me. I had a girl at my school who cried and cut herself because her Dad only bought her two cars instead of three. While her brother had to pay for his own by himself. Favoritism and bitches....ugh
What's truly horrible about this is that it makes people who are really suffering who are really trying to ask for help because they are scared of their own dark thoughts get told, "stop being a drama queen" because hey if this girl just did it for attention then that must be why teens say it.
I guess I don't see the fml in this
The only part I can see that's a fyl, is that you call this person a friend.
not really an FML, your friend's just a princess

Since it was a stunt, it's pretty obvious that she's spoiled. She's gonna get a hard smack in the face from reality when she graduates and is out on her own. I hope you told her what she did was extremely selfish and stupid. Because it obviously affected more than just her parents.
I guess you could say that that had a killer price tag. No? i didn't think so... I'll show myself to the dog house.
