Today, I was at the gym with my boyfriend. He is a bit feminine, but it has never really bothered me. Until I realised I was lifting heavier weights than he was. FML

So? Does that mean he's less of a man? It's just weights. it's not like he's going to lose his balls and you're going to gain them.

maybe he's bi? Inno. could be possible.

maybe you more manly than he is feminine

There has to be a Norweigan joke in there somewhere....

he's obviously not getting enough protein. he needs more throat yogurt and c0ckmeat sammiches

FYLDeep 25

At least he's going to the gym?

Today, my girlfriend was lifting heavier weights than me in the gym. FML

well it depends. are you more masculine?

Why is OP allowed to complain that she is lifting heavier weights than her bf?.. She thinks a man should be stronger than a woman?.. Isn't that considered sexist nowadays?.. If I said that a man should be stronger than a wom-- Oh Noes!!.. Feminists are trying to kill me!!!

I don't see the issue, i'm stonger than one third of the boys in my class. And im proud of that. an if he is your boyfriend you should be more understanding and respectful. it's more like a f his life

Feminist are such hypocrites (sp?) (most of the time)

wow really? maybe he was warming up, that's common sence.

errr is there something wrong with skinny guys? btw I'm 5' 7" and weigh 97 pounds......

There isn't anything wrong with skinny guys, but unless you're lying about your height and weight, you're very much underweight, which IS a problem. It's not healthy, and it's certainly not nice to look at. I used to be underweight. I'm surprised you don't have doctors jumping down your throat at every given moment. Strangers in the store used to stop me in the store to give me a talks about gaining weight (SO AWKWARD!) idk. Maybe it's just because I was a girl and people automatically assume that any girl who is too skinny has an eating disorder. But still.... gain some weight.

Pearljammer001 0

about that boatkicker, I am really underweight, but it's because I'm under medication for ADHD and one of the main side effects is loss of appetite. trust me I've been trying to gain weight for a long time.

FYLDeep 25

I'm not on mess or anything and I'm 6 feet tall and 130 pounds. I have actually gained weight lately so I used to be skinnier. Gaining weight's a bitch though.

Pearljammer001 0

yes it really is. I finally put on 14 pounds last summer. but I also grew a lot taller.... have you tried that breakfast protien stuff? my docter put me on it and then I gained the weight. but idk if it was just coincidence or not.

@66 hell yea he does but he should suck the sammiches to savor 'em

yea I mean for all we know you could be the strongest woman in the world, no ****

pipp360 0

if he bleeds noxious acid, you've got a gay'

I agree!!!!! besides I lift more than most of the guys in my gym class... so boys Betta watch out!!!!

Malinkrot 3

5'7 and 97 pounds is dangerously and horribly underweight...I'm a 5'1, 105 pound female and I'm really skinny...you need to see a doctor.

@BenLarge1: You can bother to write (sp?) next to the word, but not to look it up in the dictionary? Anyway, so you know, the correct spelling is "awesome people".

#176: hahaha.. I was just watching that Family Guy ep. this morning.. "Not this time, nancy boy".. lol..

Oh, and for the record.. I am: 1.80m, 82kg (or 6foot, 180.4pounds).. And I just turned 16 last week.. Oh, and I joined a gym this term.. :) Not lifting the big weights at the moment.. So if any girls see me in there with single hand weights, don't assume I'm a bitchy little emo kid, 'cause I'm not.. The black t-shirt, black footy shorts and black vollies can be misleading, though.. So my apologies for the outfit and exercise program.. XD

@#147 I have ADHD too and have the same problem though I'm on a bit of an underdose right now which is helping.

lol I completely agree with #23. buff women are disturbing.

I can beat you even today and I'm sick!

Exactly, it really doesn't matter if he isn't super strong, and I also thought sensitivity was good. I probably can lift heavier than my boyfriend, or close to it, hell I can lift my boyfriend who is 2 years older. If it's that much of a problem for you, then leave. I don't see an issue with it but if you think it's fml worthy then do something about it

It's the 21st century, and you're in Norway, which is one of the most socially advanced countries in the world. Certainly, it's also technologically advanced. We've outgrown the need for physical strength now. I'm a man, and I'm weak. Doesn't matter, I can solve any problem by talking at it.

I agree that many problems can be solved by using your mind and wits. Alot of problems still require you have a decent physique, even if its not direct violence (lifting heavy things, avoid fighting by being threatening etc...). Needless to say, its important to have both.

Oh boy, another prick that hasn't WORKED a day in his life!

Seeing as how I'm a police officer, Idontgiveadamn, I have to use physical force on a weekly basis. In fact, I feel lucky that I haven't encountered someone with an automatic weapon in my career. (I feel as though I just jinxed myself. Crap.)

goodoldave 17

She's more of a man than he'll ever be.

Nah he won't lose his balls. They're in her purse

oh well... i never really write this but YDI sorry. I mean, you MUST have seen it coming, seriously.

For real. And you could always train him if he wants to build up his strength.

Really? Your boyfriend needs to shape up. Well it depends on how much weight you're lifting. If you're benching like 120 Pounds, yes your boyfriend definently needs to shape up, BIG TIME. if you're benching like 230 pounds, ... Wow. So it depends are you like most Girls or a Lumberjack?

GeoThermalSleuth 0

I didn't mean to post that there. This site can be annoying.

My niece is on a girls' powerlifting team. She can bench more than I can, and that doesn't bother me one bit. I find my masculinity completely unchallenged, simply because I shoot straighter than any of my family or friends. :)

KurouTenshi 0

so? he'll get to your weight eventually :/ besides, it just means when y'all get married YOU can carry HIM across the threshhold!!

get to your weight... did you just call her fat?

Sun_Kissed18 25

No.. KurouTenshi meant he will eventually catch up to the weight she is lifting, not her size
