It always makes me laugh when people try to use ridiculous threats to try to get something for free. I'll never understand why people think they shouldn't have to pay what they owe.
Am I the only one that kind of likes this idea? We're told we need a good education, from a college in order to get a good job. So we take out loans to pay for said education...only to graduate and not be able to find a job with our degree? I could argue that we paid for services rendered with an expected outcome, and unlike the chiropractor thing it wouldn't be a chronic issue, and we failed to receive what was expected. I'd be an idiot...but I could argue it.
In the UK we get out loans from the government, it has a mildly positive impact on your credit score (as it suggests a higher education, therefore higher potential pay) you also only start paying it back once you earn more than £15k(maybe higher I forget) a year, at which level you'd pay something like £100 a year. My partner is on roughly £22k and paid £150ish this year. However, other places will give you "student" loans which have far less agreeable terms.
If they aren't his and he was fraudulently charged he is probably freaking out and I understand. If they are his, he is an ass
My guess is he didn't do very well in college.
I started a new job in student loan customer service and the first call I took was someone stating she doesn't have loans and I was told to "drop dead b***h"
well that guy has no sense.

Lol, tell him to go ahead. We'll see how well that holds up in court.
What an IDIOT!
