Today, a pregnant friend who is due in 2 weeks posted a picture of a baby on Facebook. I commented congratulations. She's still pregnant. It was a picture of her baby who died 3 years ago. FML

Not your fault Hun, you were trying to congratulate her, she prolly shouldn't of posted the picture of the baby so close to due date with out specifying more.

That was her bad timing, not yours. FYL

Similarly, I have a friend who posted an entire album onto Facebook of his Great Uncle's Funeral - I can imagine, "I'm really gonna miss him. But anyway let's take some photos for Facebook". Back to the point though, it's really not your fault, how were you supposed to know (that is, unless she clarified it in the caption, in which case YDI).

FB should have a rule bout posting picture of the dead. no disrespect to OP prego friend its just that it is quite sad and things like this won't happen.

Ouch! I feel your pain op. I tend to say the wrong thing at the worst of times. Easy mistake there though!

Who the **** posts a picture of their dead baby on FB.... that's just messed up and asking for pitty.

Lets be realistic. Your friend is an idiot for posting a picture of a dead baby days before a new one comes out. You should feel bad, not because you congratulated her for the wrong thing, but because your friend lacks mental acuity

Oh dear, i bet you must have felt sorry. Cheer up OP. It's not your fault.

Although I think losing a child is extremely tragic, I think posting a picture of a stillborn is a little insensitive. I have a "Facebook friend" who recently did this; I'm almost 8 months pregnant and this really bothered me. It definitely has added to my anxiety.

Absolutely not your fault, it's an obvious assumption.
