Today, after a big presentation, people sent an open invitation to dinner. When I asked which restaurant and what time, I was told that I wasn't invited. I've been here for three years. FML

Today, I was invited to a birthday dinner at a restaurant. As I was leaving, I get a text from the birthday girl's boyfriend saying that it was cancelled. Hungry, I decided to go to that particular restaurant anyway. Turns out the party wasn't cancelled. Half the party just didn't want me there. FML

Today, I invited my friends to meet up at the park. After asking twice, I finally got the text saying to meet them there. But when I got there, I realized they had already been there for a while. As I was walking up to them, I heard, "Why did you invite him?" FML

It isn't very nice that you weren't invited but it makes me question your relationship with your co workers. Why might they not like you? If you have friends outside of work then they are just jerks and you don't need them anyway.

Just use the reality tv mantra, only improved, "I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to do my job." Smile at everyone and kill them with kindness. Do your work and then go home to be with the people who really matter.
