This is a sign you should get a new therapist. I'm rooting for you OP!
I think it's funny how your therapist said it USUALLY takes about 5 months. This means that every once in awhile, a patient might take a longer/shorter amount of time to recover than that. Also, isn't he getting more money from you the longer you have to see him? Your physical therapist is a certified dick.
Don't worry OP, not everyone recovers the same. You know when you're getting better more then he does and if you had returned to early it would be no good to potentially ruin your knee again. Take it easy and good luck on the recovery.
I'm in PT after 2 shoulder surgeries within 4 months. I ask LOTS of questions, like, "How long should recovery take? How am I doing in comparison to others with similar surgeries?"
Yeah it may take 5 months for just one knee surgery to recover, but three knee surgeries and you recovered in a year? Great job OP :)
I almost forgot. ... Well done, OP!

Asshole much? Maybe time to switch therapists.... Also, grats on recovery!!
Time to take that next step, OP. Put those legs to use and get that foot up his ass.
