Today, after an entire year spent in physical therapy recovering from three knee surgeries, I finally returned to doing light agility exercises and running on a treadmill. When I told my therapist I had never been so happy and proud, he responded with, "This usually only takes 5 months, pussy." FML

Asshole much? Maybe time to switch therapists.... Also, grats on recovery!!

Time to take that next step, OP. Put those legs to use and get that foot up his ass.

He may have been trying for additional motivation. He may instead have been jealous. It's possible he's just an asshole. It's possible he confused you with someone who'd only had a single surgery. Whatever his motives were, it's still a sign that it's time to stop getting your motivation from others. time to let your own pride and joy be your motivator, not your therapist. What sort of therapist is it, anyway? A psychotherapist or a physical therapist? Most psychotherapists start studying the subject because they want to find out what's wrong with them. Most physical therapists are there because they didn't do better at school. It's important to care for the feelings of other people, they are human and deserve our concern. But it's way past time we stopped caring for the opinions of people we don't care for.

Why the hell does he care? Doesn't he get paid all the same? (I've never been in therapy, so I really don't know how that works.)

What a prick. I hate telling him but not everybody heals in the same time frame.

Most people don't have 3 knee surgeries in a short amount of time. Good job on your recovery.

Well done on your recovery! Don't listen to what he says! You did it and that's what matters!

FYL. Your trainer's an asshole. Well done on your recovery! Find another trainer, I'd say.

He had no right insulting you like that. You're finishing therapy and I'm proud of you OP! You go OP!

That is not even close to true. maybe those he's dealt with but the average healing time for just one knee surgery is 6-8 months. You had three! Go tell your PT to go stick it where the sun doesn't shine!

Sometimes its the way they try to motivate patients. The faster you get back to moving around and having a regular physical workout the faster you'll heal So, yeah, you're not a wimp so don't be one

#67- He slammed him. He didn't motivate him.

I'm on my 3rd knee surgery and PT is not helping at all. So that therapist should either up his game to help OP recover quicker, or shut his ***** mouth because unless you've experienced it, you don't understand the deep pain.
