However, I would like to point out that there are restrictions on gun ownership that A) vary by state and B) often exclude those under the age of 21 from owning handguns. My assertion about voting rights stands. Additionally, while I did exaggerate about the constitution having no bearing in a classroom (I thought my hyperbole would've been evident from the "pfft," but I guess not), there are laws that prohibit minors from doing things that adults are permitted to do. These laws do not infringe on the Constitution, and there are certain buildings wherein some of the Constitutional rights are suspended, schools being one.
