Today, after finishing an essay at the library, I fell asleep and had a dream about the essay crawling out through my laptop screen and trying to kill me. I woke by the librarian shaking me and telling me to stop screaming. I was mortified. FML

Shouldn't Spongebob have taught you not to fall asleep writing an essay?

I think that episode was to teach someone the outcome of procrastination. If you put something off till last minute, the teacher will always cancel the assignment.

Why does this remind me of that Oreo commercial...

I was thinking the same exact thing :)

You were definitely too focused on the essay

It seems the essay was too focused on OP, in the dream at least.

Sounds like too much school stress.. is it your junior year too?

I'm pretty sure school is stressful regardless of what year you're in.

That's college.. One paper to the next. I feel you OP it's my second semester.

second year uni is nothing. Wait until you are in your final year and writing dissertations or a research thesis or something. That's scary :P. I read a 500 page medieval chronicle today for my one :L. Second year uni essays are also usually only between 2-3000 words. And I say only... because my one is 12,000 words.

I have a quick and easy way to get out of those kind of situations: drop out.

An essay that can only be two words long? Count me in!

People who always have to insist that they have it the worst make me lol. Its like, i love my degree. I actually enjoy it. I am super psyched for my dissertation. Its gonna be long but I'm going to love every word of it. So no, I'm not dreading third year and long essays. Thanks for your input though.

#28 - second year in my uni degree is the hardest. and the biggest word limit we had was 2500 for an assignment. and in my third, final year we dont have to write a thesis or anything. just because you have to do it, doesnt mean every uni degree does.

second year is the hardest for my degree apparently as well because we have loads of assignments all due in at once at the moment but final year you have less assignments which are spread out more and your dissertation so there's less stress piled on at once

That seems a good attitude! Friends who have done degrees say 3rd year isn't as bad as you've had more practise at writing long essays, plus you know your subject matter better. So even if you have a long dissertation it may not be as bad as you think, and you often get a considerable amount of time for it.

Sorry OP. Guess that's what happens when you focus on something too much... let's hope you get an A

At least you didn't dream you were getting intimate with it. Definitely would have been awkward if you were moaning or grunting in the quiet library .

Quite the silver lining you've pulled out there.

What kind of librarians do your libraries have?

Only 4 comments time to say something clever. Umm it least it didn't burn your house down

Ifunny has terrible top comments nowadays, it's sad to see what happened to a great app.

He was making a reference to spongebob, not Ifunny. your nautical nonsense offends me. It's not something I wish.

Good thing it wasn't the librarian trying to kill you in real life. Librarians are scary people, OP.

Those reading glasses are what give off the killer look.

Lol.. I remembered the sorcerers stone! I was so scared of that scene when I was little
