Today, after getting home from a twelve-hour shift at work, I got into bed and passed out. My mother soon woke me up, screaming that she could tell I was "fake sleeping" and ignoring her lecture on how I need to stop being so "lazy". FML

You should yell whatever the hell you want at her. Get it all off your chest about what an insensitive bitch she is being and how she should leave you the **** alone. If she tries to punish you for it, tell her you were just sleep talking. It's foolproof!

Just let it go in one ear and out the other and don't let it bother you too much cause life is short - read my profile and you will understand what I'm talking about .

This is where it would be funny if you lived alone.

You should've went off on her for waking you up.

Time to move out to an apartment on your own. At least in a cheap apt you don't have anyone waking you up, unless your across the hall neighbor sets his apartment on fire while he's gone, that was an exciting experience...

I live on my own (share my apt cost with my bf) and my mother invited me to take a nap at her house on my 2 hour break between split shifts because it was closer to my work. I came over and collapsed on her couch at which point she came in yelling about how she needed errands done and that I shouldn't be napping. WTF?! Parents are so ******.

Not trying to be "THAT GUY"… but it's been proven that getting kicked in the balls is 100x more painful than given birth. There's science to back it up. l=^P

Family just do not understand 12 hours shifts. Especially if it's a few days in a row or nights. You just want to pass out and be left alone. My sis or mom always want me to do something when I get off work. Just tell her to back off.

While 55 is correct about getting kicked in the balls being more painful (not sure about the numbers), that comment was completely irrelevant. Giving birth and getting kicked in the balls are two completely different things and that wasn't even mentioned here.

she should try a 12 hour shift and then see how she felt . when you get home from work the last thing you want to hear is some one bitching , you just want to relax . You're better off getting your own place or moving in with some people . But it does suck when parents tell you that your lazy even if you have worked ,cleaned and done everything they asked .
