That is a sweet but not as sweet as revenge. Start planning and plotting now but wait a little so that won't catch on.
Maybe it's not the same for other countries, but here in the U.S., we have syllabi which detail the work to be expected. A quick look at that would've allowed you to know their bullshitting sooner.
Unfortunately, I think it depends on the individual institution or department. As another U.S. student, I've had professors with and without tenure who gave unannounced assignments or got away with syllabi that had zero information on assignments and grading. There were no policies for deadlines or minimum advance notice.
Snip. My comment turned up somewhere else.
Yeah, that sucks, but why wouldnt you verify with the teacher? I have yet to have a college class where it is not incredibly easy to call/email the teacher and explian why you are gone, verify what you are are missing, etc.
If you are missing class, you should absolutely be speaking with your professors. You wouldn't not show up at work and not talk to your boss.
Seeing how hard you worked on the "assignment", the best thin to do would be to inform the Biology teacher of this situation and ask for possible extra credit.
Time to finf new TRUE friends and get rid of the ass holes.
Why would you rely on your friends when you can e mail the teachers and get info
1 - You could have actually emailed your teacher to see what the assignments and all the missing work you would have to make up were, and ask for extension. 2 - Well, that's what friends are for. To be dicks to one another just to be complete trolls now and then once in a blue moon.
Probably "best friends."
Turn it in for extra credit. Then you'll be ahead of your jackass friends.

Here is what you should do... Go to the teacher/professor and explain what your friends did. Show them your essay and how hard you worked on it. Then ask them if they will help you to get your friends back by assigning the same essay to them.
If anything you have prepared yourself for future tests or papers and could possibly use that same paper for a different assignment. Writing things out always helped me study for things. Although I would also be pissed if my friends did that.
