What a douchebag
You guys should mutiny.
I don't want to get thumbed down for my ignorance on the subject, but is that even legal? I mean, it's not published or whatever but isn't there copyright laws against that? This comment might be extremely stupid, forgive me. I'm just curious.
copyright protects individual intellectual property. since OP was doing this for work, anything as a result of their work is the property of the company. it would be OPs word vs the boss in the eyes of the higher ups.
it's not copyrighgt at all... any work you do belongs to that company not to a worker.
It may be plagiarism, as #20 noted, but for him to feel free to pull shit like this suggests that higher management are cool with it, and may even approve. Remember in future that, in management, sociopathy is considered a positive character trait.
File a complaint through the official channels - HR or his boss. If that doesn't work, show him that he has created a work environment where working hard and being dedicated doesn't pay off by being all the opposite things and just doing little things to make his day difficult. While that's not constructive in the least, this situation might call for some kind of revenge.
he is ine very cold hearted scrooge.
Is there anyone higher than him? Head quarters? You should all report him for immature behaviour and being a crappy boss!
That would be immature behaviour. The only effect would be that he's seen as the whiner.
again welcome to the real world that is why he hired them to do the work so he doesn't have to same as his boss sill take credit as it goes up the ladder.
i'm a **** lol
Guys, that's reality, not plagiarism: His boss leads the team, so he is the one who enables them of you to do your jobs, e.g. keeps others from giving you additional tasks. Everyone knows that the boss could not have finished the project alone. He needed the team members. At last: Don't complain at HR - all you can manage is to create a barrier between you and your boss. And who will finally decide about your bonus or promotions? In the end, it is not the job of HR to help you, but protect the company against you - e.g. lawsuits. Worst case: You'll get on the black list of "dangerous employees".
Take him down.
This seems to be indicative of a larger problem. Keep us posted OP about what happens with this assface; most likely he's into even more unethical things either at work or in his personal life. These kind of things come to a head eventually. It takes a special kind of sociopathy to lie like that.
Not really - management is full of them.
I believe a strike is in order.

Wow, he shouldn't be allowed to operate a business like that.
Okay that's not alright. You and your coworkers have the right to dispute his work and prove that he is a stealing bastard
