Today, after my two credit cards were stolen, thousands were charged before I could cancel. The thief dropped nearly $1,000 at Juicy Couture, so she/he is somewhere laughing at me in a magenta, rhinestoned "leisure suit." FML

you can totally contest that. no store should allow someone to use a credit card for that much without checking the signature and ID. if they don't verify the ID, contest it with the credit card company and if they can't do anything, you can sue the store.

Idk how people let you continue living... Seriously **** the worlds life.

I am sure you can get the money back, because similar thing happened to me just with fraud and I called my banker explained the issue and after a week or so I got my money back.

FYI I work for Juicy Couture and believe me you can drop a grand and not buy a single tracksuit. Secondly I always write "see ID" on my cards because by signing a card, you're giving permission for it to be used by anyone in possession of it. when I ask people for ID they love to give me attitude until I point out I'm not accepting an unsigned card without ID, then theyre all "happy" I'm looking out for them.

29, signing a card doesn't authorize anybody to use it [unless you're living in some weird state, providence or country with no actual security concerns]. It just validates a card - Frankly, an unsigned card isn't even supposed to be accepted at all, but very few people sign their cards and very few people take this seriously. You still have every right to refuse a suspicious sale, regardless of if an ID is signed or not - Nor, does somebody who steals my card have the right to use it just because I follow the guidelines my credit card company hands out by signing my card.

I'm gonna tell you this story, because I know you care. My crazy Asian mother-in-law bought us a Juicy Couture baby booties & hat set for our baby girl. I thought it was ridiculous, and they never fit properly, so it was even more pointless. The end.

When you use credit at Juicy, they always ask for ID.....YDI. stop losing your cards.

Obviously this time they didn't, or else the OP wouldn't have gotten a $1000 purchase on their card that wasn't made by them. Durr. There is no way they deserve it.

Or the FML could be fake. OP lost their cards, they do deserve it.

Maybe they didn't buy a track suit, but bought a bunch of accessories, including bags and such (which I'm sure could add up very fast) to re-sell for a cheaper price on the street. Gotta love those stupid velvety sweat suits though, ugh... So nasty. FYL for having to deal with credit card fraud :(

I'm going to repeat part of my comment to #4 since it's germane: OP is in the US, which means that the liability for a stolen credit card is limited to $50 by federal law. So OP is out $100 max. Still, that sucks.

Do people even where those tracksuits? They're so tacky... I love Juicy though. Some of their clothes are really cute. And their accessories. :D

It'd never happen with my card - one I don't have that much money left to spend and my c/card company automaticly block large purchases without prior notice. Some comfort eh lol
