Guarantee some people were more concerned about uploading the picture to Facebook more than anything...I hope you're okay OP
"look what I saw today, that's ligit shit right there." reads the Facebook caption. it's so sad no one called 911 or something. People today so self absorbed its ridiculous.
"1 like = 1 prayer for the driver
My post messed up. -_- I would suspect that's what the caption would be for the picture on Facebook.
In the U.S. Technically there is a bad semaritan law, where if someone can prove that someone willingly didn't try to do something to save someone. Hard to prove but it is a law.
(I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice) That depends. Whether there's a duty for the average person to stop and render aid in an accident in which you are not personally involved varies by state. If you're in a profession that's expected to have medical or first-aid knowledge (e.g. medical doctor, nurse, first-responder), as far as I know, you have a special duty to stop and render aid because of that knowledge even if you're not on-duty, out of your jurisdiction, etc. That said, how much goddam effort is it to call 911 and call it in?
#62 I know as a lifeguard I must respond emergencies regardless if I am on the clock or not.
62, I think in Texas at least, if you are right behind a car accident you are required to go help or call 911. They teach you that in driving school.
I blame Obama...
Holy shit moderators **** off!!
What is wrong with people these days? They'd rather take pictures to post on Facebook/Instagram rather than help someone who could've died? FYL, OP.
This is why Canada is so great. Everyone would have stopped to help. And you would have been the biggest news story because a car rolling is the most exciting thing that happens, generally. ;) But in all seriousness, I'm sorry for you OP. I would have stopped to help.
*picks up a crowbar* Yeah! Let's do this, Noor!
Anybody who can take the time to stop & take a picture should be able to take the time to dial 911...even if it's as they drive away! People like them & #6 is why our world sucks!! Wonder how those people would feel if something like that happened to someone they care about? They didn't know if OP was hurt or dead...they obviously didn't care! A-holes.... Karma is a bitch!
Especially when you are.
Please explain in explicit detail how 28 is being an a-hole?
This reminds me of the story where a man was hurt and dying on a sidewalk and on the security video literally like 10 people stopped and took out their phones to take pics, until one person finally did something however the man was already dead. It's sad what this world has come to. I'm glad you're ok OP.
reading this actually got me pretty angry. people are messed up.
I've read about this study. There were also tests about how people would react to a violent, jealous "boyfriend" berating a woman in the middle of a restaurant. All of whom were actors, but dress definitely made a difference in how others not aware of the scene reacted. Same with an angry mother abandoning her children on a city sidewalk.
That is pathetic of them. Ok sure take your photos all you like but at least have the decency to see if everyone involved are ok. What if you broke your neck and were unconscious and the car set alight? If your not qualified to assist at least call for an ambulance and follow the emergency operators instructions

Is there such thing as a bad Samaritan?
I assume you're okay because you posted but people should seriously help first. It's ridiculous that they would take pics. I assume any of them in the same position would want someone to come to their aid.
