et510 tells us more.
It was a parking lot for a grocery store. My car is a beige '82 300D Mercedes. I don't think it looks that suspicious. I've never been in a car accident in my whole entire life, then when I moved to Georgia, I was in 3 within my first year living here. I didn't cause any of them. If that happened to you, you'd understand why I park in a parking lot to let the traffic go by. I know it sounds shady, but after I explained this to you, does it still sound shady? Apparently the cops think so.

* stalking.
LOL @ u trying to correct her when its the idiot cop who misspelled the word stalking in his report, not her.
only women suck at driving... so the OP is a woman and a lesbian it seems
I don't see where there's any indication that the OP sucks at driving. It's so annoying when people actively try to be controversial.
haha. There are so many things wrong with your comment. ...If you bothered to use your observation skills even in the slightest, you would know that the OP is a man and that this FML has absolutely NOTHING to do with driving skills. I agree with #46
Okay, although I agree, this has nothing to do with the OP being a woman, or driving skills, #44 was saying that the OP's a woman and sucks at driving because he parks in a parking lot to avoid heavy traffic. To #44, avoiding traffic = sucky driving, and sucky driving = woman. Just trying to clear any confusion up if there was any.... :P
Obviously you've never driven through the deep south of Georgia.
Dude, your life could be ruined by this. You are truly screwed. Unfortunately the police are REQUIRED to arrest if such an accusation is made (unless it is blatantly obvious that it could not be true). Chances are, the police had been called DAYS BEFORE and began watching the parking area over a long time. Sure enough...the "stalker" appeared on several days. Finally, they made the arrest based on the "evidence" of the law enforcement's observations and the woman's allegations. Juries WILL believe the cop's observations (not necessarily the conclusions). The prosecutor's official will look at the CIRCUMSTANTIAL case and determine whether or not there is a chance to win a conviction. And if you ever have to get a background investigation done (like for MILLIONS of jobs) you will likely be required to report ANY arrests. Unfortunately people will ASSUME the arrest = CRIMINAL. Even if the charges are dropped, they will ALWAYS suspect/think "He did it, otherwise why would they have arrested him? The prosecutor just wasn't good enough or there wasn't enough evidence." You are branded for life. This situation is a result of the post 9-11 hysteria, zero tolerance policies, and America's love affair with police and putting people in jail. The U.S. incarcerates more people per capita than ANY country. ****EVERYONE PLEASE WATCH "Busted: The Citizen's Guide to Surviving Police Encounters" ****
I was told they spent 3 weeks watching me before they decided to randomly arrest me one day. This really did screw my life up. I did get a lawyer though, but it didn't help. No offense to anyone living in the south, but the local government will believe anything the cops tell them. I was "let off" with 1 year probation as long as I would go see a psychologist once a week, that I have to pay for. I also am not allowed to park in the parking lot that I was arrested in. It's a parking lot for a grocery store.
DUDE i know how you feel..... i live in kentucky (that should say it all) and i know how the cops are nothing but big rednecks that think because they have a badge they can harrass anyone they want...... on time while me and my ex was driving home at night (AFTER MY SHIFT AT THE HOSPITAL) i get pulled over, i know i had expired tags so i was expecting it anyday, but i was not expecting to get taken out of my car and given a sobirety test, the reason.... my ex was smoking a cigar and the dumb-ass cop thought it was a blunt......i dont know about you, but i have never in my life thought pot and cigars smelled the same!! but the dumb piggy pig pig, let us go after a hour of questioning and sobriety tests! oh and i was in my scrubs still and still had my name badge on and my stethoscope on around my neck... grr at cops!! bth you dont happen to live in dalton or around that area.... ive been to dalton/rocky face several times and the cops are pretty retarted!
OMG!! i hate pigs!!! seems like they arrest people with out hearing thier side of the story..... so did you tell that ***** that called the pigs on you that shes on crack and you wouldnt stalk her if she was the last woman on earth??? i hate stupid people....FIGHT it all the way and good luck~~
And somehow he gets on FML to post it?
it's spelled stalking not stocking
this did happen in georgia, i don't know why anyone's surprised that they spelled it "stocking" instead of "stalking".
If it happened in GA, I'm surprised the cops there are even able to write. I was under the impression that they found most cops in that state by squeezing fat dullards into a uniform and putting a gun in their hands.
I'm glad you guys understand. Unlike the people calling me a troll and a crappy driver for letting the traffic go by. This is Southern Georgia, they can't read or drive.

First, that chick is a psycho, second, why are american cops so aggressive?! I read so often on here that they arrest people when they did like, nothing (bad). WTH?
i'm not sure what's funnier, the fact that having a regular parking space warrants an arrest, or the fact that the cops spelled stalking "stocking." regardless, they're obviously idiots and i don't exactly feel safe knowing they're the ones protecting me.
