Today, after years of researching and saving money, I got a pet fox. I was able to enjoy the majesty of the animal for three hours before it burrowed under the fence and ran away. FML

Listen Doc, there is such a thing as "domesticated foxes" just like cats and dogs had to be domesticated through breeding, training, and human interaction. If you do your research like OP did you would know that domesticated foxes make better pets than most cats & dogs because they have the best traits of both. If anything I blame OP for not installing a deep rooted fence because foxes at notorious diggers.

after years of researching? I'm doubting that because only an idiot would get a fox as a pet. and anyone that would sell you a fox is probably breaking the law. I'm appalled at your stupidity and so glad it got away.

Was the fence a meter or deeper UNDER the ground too? It has to be pretty damn deep. I even considered just making a big concrete pool and filling it with dirt to use as the base of my chicken coop to protect them from foxes.

Did your dumbass not know Fox's are seriously good at digging? my buddy had one and it dug under the 5 feet of cement he planted under all around his fence to try and keep it from doing exactly that
