Today, as I was getting my nails done at a salon, the owner pulled my head back against the chair in front of all the customers and began to tweeze my eyebrows. When I exclaimed that I didn't pay for that service, she replied, "I don't care. This needs done." FML

No we don't. You can also do it yourself. If you get a bit tweezer happy, hide it with your fringe it'll be back soon :) No point in paying someone to do it.

I like how you said to hide it with bangs, when not everyone has "fringe." I pay someone to do it so they look good. I don't want to play tweezers roulette.

Why is everyone saying 'hey free service'? No, that's not okay. What if OP liked her eyebrows? What gives that lady the right to force a stranger to change their appearence because they thought it was unacceptable. If someone tried that on me I would want to punch them in the face.

I agree with #20 & #56, people shouldn't be going around and pushing their views of what they perceive as attractive down other people's throats (or eyebrows in this case). OP was happy with the way she is so why should some broad force her opinions on her. I hope OP didn't tip and bitched her out for this.

What the owner did was rude, embarrassing, and completely unprofessional. OP, there must be someone you can make a complaint with, although I'm not sure how to go about that process. But if the owner of this shop is making a habit of this behavior, then that's not okay and potential customers should somehow be made aware of this. Sorry that happened to you.

That was completely rude and unprofessional. No business owner should treat clients like that. Are you people insane?! Yeah, sure, she got her eyebrows done for free, but think about this: if you were in her situation, would you feel comfortable if someone did that to you? Especially if you weren't prepared for it?

I don't know about that, if someone did that to my eyebrows I'd probably have a fit, but I prefer thicker eyebrows.
