Today, at 21 years of age, my doctor confirmed that I am, indeed, going bald. It wouldn't be such a bad thing, even expected, if I wasn't a woman. FML

Today, as a 17-year-old, after having gone to the doctor to about some unusual hair loss, it turns out I simply have crappy genetics, and should expect to be fully bald within a year. FML

Today, someone told me I have male pattern baldness; they thought so because I apparently have a "receding hairline." It's always been this way, I checked my pictures from the time I shaved my head when I was 16. FML

Today, I found out, after having my third and last child, that I'm balding. I'm only 23 and quite frankly It's very much noticeable. How did I find out? My four-year-old daughter pointed it out to me, saying, "Mommy, why you shed like the dog?" FML

Today, I had an elderly woman come up to me and tell me how well I pull off the look of being bald. She said that most women can't look attractive without hair. Then she asked me if I had cancer. I had to explain to her that I am, in fact, a man, and I shave my head because I'm a swimmer. FML

Actually, I do think bald people are beautiful. You may not have the same opinion as me, but I wouldn't post something if I didn't mean it. I personally don't want to go bald, because I like my hair. But if I did, I'd embrace it.

Just want to Share with OP that low zinc can cause hair loss. Take a zinc supplement or ask to be tested for low zinc. It truly is an answer for why you are going bald at 21. ESP if no one in your family has an early on set of hair loss.

bald women are so elegant and striking to see, 100% of the time. I'm 19, and a female, and I'd love to shave my head...but I know my boyfriend would never let me. /: so, don't be hard on yourself if/when you're bald, because it'll be so awesomely unique & captivating, regardless of what anyone else tells you. Alopcia! Nothing serious. Think of all the children dying of cancer and yet your life is so horrible because you're going bald... You can get different color wigs and be a different bitch everyday :)
