Today at the fair, I went on the swings ride, thinking it was over I unlatched it jumped out and fell about 10 feet than the ride came to a full stop and everyone was staring at me, I bruised my arms and cut my knee. FML

NEVER undo harnesses, seat belts, anything that is a safety function on a ride until the ride attendants TELL YOU TO. Don't try to get off, or out, or anything until they have said the ride is over and begin helping people remove the safety devices. You got off lucky with a ten foot drop- you could have been literally flung much further, and much harder.
