Today, at work, I decided to make things more interesting, so when I called people I used a fake accent. As I was using an Australian accent, the person I was talking to asked me where in Australia I was from. I desperately replied, "Where the kangaroos are..." I'm now jobless. FML

Today, after returning to the UK from my Australian holiday, I was fired from my job for no reason. My boss told me he'd waited till I'd returned to do it. I could have stayed in Australia with my mates traveling for a year if I had been fired before I left. I'm sure he did it on purpose. FML

Today, I handed my resume in to a cafe that was hiring. I returned home and noticed a voicemail, it was one from the boss for a trial. I eagerly returned the call, showing my enthusiasm. Without thinking, I ended with "ok love you. *GASP* ah, BYE" and quickly hung up. FML

Today, I was volunteering at a zoo event for special needs kids. My job was to dress up in a kangaroo costume and greet the kids. One kid came up and said, "You're not real!" and kicked me in the nuts. FML

This may be applicable to the UK but... There's never a shortage of bar work at walkabout for aussies.. Lol. However.. I work on the phones too, rules if you wanna keep a job in a contact centre... 1) no swearing even when not on a call = mics are sensitive 2) don't ruin the calls with jokes 3) no matter how loud they shout at you, remain calm.. Not like they know WHICH centre you're in. I suspect you broke the first one when you got fired, and the second to get fired, and possibly the third at some point. YDI
