my pelvis is splayed? The muscles are wasting away? Jesus ******* christ! Why the hell did my doctor not say anything to me about this????? I have thigh gap. I am not abnormally skinny. I do not have wide hips. I actually muscles on a medium/small-ish boned frame. It has to do with bone frame on a healthy person, how their muscles and fat tend to develop and sit. Genetics and lifestyle. Any other pearls of wisdom you want to spew out there? Now I have to go and make a panicked call to my doctor...something about my pelvis and wasting muscles...

society isnt some faceless entity you know. these opinions have been around for years peepetuated by women and womens magazines over the years. opinion will change again the same way that it changed from the curvey women all those years ago.

Like already said a thousand times, having no thigh gap doesn't mean you're fat. Of course, more fat, less thigh gap, but also: muscles, position of your hips (that's bones growing, which you can't intervene with eating salad) are responsible for the existence of thigh gaps. So OP might be only sporty, jogs a lot, and there go the thigh gaps, even if she has the genetical structure. Seeing your profile and your comments lets my bullshit sense tingle.

I'm with 140. There is NO way I'm going to let anyone talk to me like that, and I don't and still have my job. I may get yelled at but they won't fire me (being one of the best employees helps, then again, it is a fast food restaurant). Knowing how I am with people like them, I'd snap back pointing out that they don't have 'thigh gaps' so what's the big deal?

The manager ended up helping them find what they were looking for and they bought some stuff and left. I didn't get an apology or anything, but the manager gave me the weekend off. :)
