Hannahb17 tells us more.
For those of you who are wondering, I'm 17 and I work at Forever 21. I asked the two girls if they needed any help and they said, "Umm.. We don't want YOUR help." I said, "Excuse me?" They said, "OMG WHY ARE YOU STILL HERE? WE DON'T WANT YOUR HELP! CAN WE GET SOMEONE ELSE TO HELP US?" At that point a manager came over to see what the problem was and the girls said, "We don't want her help. She doesn't even have a thigh gap. Why does she even work here?" Not wanting to do anything stupid and lose my job, I walked away. The two girls had to have been only a year or two younger than me. Plot twist: THEY DIDN'T HAVE FREAKING THIGH GAPS! I can't explain to y'all how much that irked me. The whole thing was just stupid. I really like working at Forever 21, though, so I'm glad I didn't do anything to jeopardize that. Well, thank you all for the supportive comments! They were fun to read. (: I hope y'all have a great night/day!

You need to understand these poor girls, OP. They must have a brain gap.
This stupid ******* thigh gap thing is completely mystifying to me. WHO THE HELL CARES IF YOUR LEGS DON'T TOUCH TOGETHER IN ONE SPOT IF YOU'RE A SHITTY PERSON?
I concur. Having a gap isn't actually a desirable thing, as it may indicate bow leggedness
39 - I wouldn't say that it's not desirable, because that's just as bad as people saying that not having one is undesirable. It's mostly to do with your frame. Two people can be the same height and weight, but if one has wider hips than the other then they are more likely to have a thigh gap. It's a natural thing, it's not always indicative of a physical deformity!
I'm not so sure that it has to do with your hips, more or less just how your legs are made.. I have very wide hips, and my thighs touch, and I'm not overweight. So that wouldn't make much sense. I'd say it's different for everyone.
I'm just shocked that it's a thing in the first place. I'd never given the space between my thighs any thought until I heard about this a year ago. I'm far from ashamed of not having a thigh gap though. If you can tell that someone is physically fit, I don't think that it'll all change once you see thy they don't have a thigh gap.. So weird.
My hips aren't exactly wide, but my legs are long, so I have a small thigh gap. I really couldn't care less. I don't understand why it's so attractive.
I had no idea until about five minutes ago that I have a thigh gap, honestly I'd never even thought to look, mine is caused by long legs and a damaged muscle in my thigh. Honestly though I don't understand this whole interest in having a thigh gap, why is it 'desirable'? as seemingly it doesn't have a whole lot to do with health, weight or fitness level.
Bowed legs, or "rickets" is actually a bone deformity due to lack of vitamin D when the mother was pregnant with the baby. My 7mth old daughter was born with slightly bowed legs and now takes kids liquid vit D. The main sources of vitD are; the sun and full cream milk. However, everyone's circumstances are different so if you're in doubt go to your GP and have a blood test done. I now have to take vitD supplements everyday.
Lol, depending on the person, a thigh gap doesn't even look good. I bet you look fine op, don't let immaturity get to you!
You guys are just as bad as the girls. It's all about frame and bone structure. I am petite and have very skinny legs resulting in me having one. Whether you have one or not is not a big deal. I am just mad at some of the ignorant comments being thumbed up by other people that don't have a thigh gap. It's rude and offensive to the people who DO have a thigh gap. I'll probably be buried but seriously, lay off the Haterade.
It makes me wonder who they look up to as role models. I hope the real world bitch slaps them in the face, holds them upside down and shakes vigorously a couple of times so they snap out of their insolent pigheadedness & realize that in everyday life there is no correlation whatsoever between a persons capacity to do something resting solely on the premise of them having a thigh gap. Pay the brats no heed OP. they'll get a rude awakening soon enough.
181~~ I'm not sure if you were directing that at me and the person who responded to me first but I'd just like to say I wasn't trying to say what a woman should or shouldn't have. To be honest, I've never once paid attention to whether or not a girl has a thigh gap to judge if that's what makes her physically beautiful. I also wasn't saying having a thigh gap was wrong or it doesn't look good. There are girls who do have one though who try their hardest to make sure everyone notices it. The way they show it is what makes it not look good on them. If you weren't directing your at me completely then disregard this comment but I felt the need to defend myself as I'm nothing like your comment made me sound like.
Damn, defended myself for nothing. Just kidding, all apologies to you! Although you did say guys and we were the only 2 before you! haha
Just tell the that mean girls was so five years ago and least they can try to be cool.
Wooww inner beauty is the real beauty, and it sounds like those teens were u-gly
Thigh gaps are disgusting...in my opinion. Unless they are natural.
"your legs repulse me" "no, I'm naturally that thin." "oh that's okay then"
I just mean that if a person starves themselves to get a certain body shape, it would be disgusting. I would never judge somebody for being born like that though.
Shake it off OP. They're just a bunch of silly little girls. Don't let it get to you
I bet those girls like their thigh gaps because it's easier for them to spread their legs. Hell, they might not even have to do that.

I have no idea where you work, but if it's in the food industry I hope they starve to death.
that's disgusting. What is wrong with people these days
