I just looked it up and the average 3rd-grader's height is 4'2". But regardless, I'm in something resembling your situation - also in HS and precisely 5'0"! (Then again, one side of my family has a history of late bloomers... there is still hope for everyone.)

Maybe consider seeing a doctor who specializes in this and see if your a candidate for Human Growth Hormone treatment. A friend's step son grew several inches with it. But I believe the sooner the better might be true.

My son soon to be 17 is 6'3" tall. I'm looking up to him and wondering if he's gonna stop growing. Either way, tall or short, you should be grateful you're healthy.

I'm on the other end of the spectrum. So I can relate to the being "different" very much. Hope you're not being bullied for it too much. Just know, that there is always a time after school and then it will end. And you've got advantages being short too ... You could always find clothes and shorten them. I've got problems because I'm not fat enough for the big and tall stores and lengthening basically never works :-)
