Today, during a major fight with my boyfriend, I threw a necklace he had given me out the window, thinking it was just a cheap trinket. He then told me, for the first time, that that necklace had belonged to his now deceased grandma. FML

The illustration is awful, as is the spelling... It's all just choppy and wobbly and bad. Shame- it's a really good FML. Totally YDI, but good because of that. As for the guy who gave us the following gem of a comment: "Everyone hates the illustration because the editor is black. i'd like to see their white asses draw that shizzle." Good job, you used a nonsense word and incorrect capitalization on top of pulling the race card on legitimate criticism. I congratulate you. As for my white ass drawing that "shizzle"- I'm an artist. I'm white. I could draw this, and I could draw this better. Hell- I know oodles of people who could draw this better. And why? Because it is not good.

I don't like the illustration, it's very amateur-looking compared to many of the other ones, and the grammar is terrible. Never have I seen a comic that says "u" before...

I disagree with everyone who complains about the illustration. The drawing ITSELF is NOT bad. It's the script. This wasn't a proper fml to draw into a comic. It wasn't a funny fml, but a sad one. And the words the author chose to use for something he shouldn't touch just made it worse.

Hmm, I'm not sure I love the illustration. Yes, it does look a little amateur, and yes it does have bad grammar, but that is not the reason why I dislike it. I don't like it because they changed the point of view and they made it a touchier subject than it bad to be. It's hard to make it comical when you feel bad about it.
