_sempiternus tells us more.
For those of you that were wondering- yes, I'm alright. :) I'm anemic, and sometimes it catches up to me and I'll start to get lightheaded/faint. I hadn't been feeling well all day, and thought food might help... Guess I was a bit late. In regards to my 'friends', I suppose I used the term loosely. They aren't my closest friends by far, but I've known them for years. We were close enough that I ASSUMED the sight of me falling and bashing my head open would be more important than their need for dry, school-food lasagna. And, in response to one commenter, I didn't expect them to immediately transform into doctors. But it still doesn't feel too great when the people you call 'friends' step over you, sprawled on the ground and bleeding, in favor of food. And no, I don't speak to them anymore. We had a fall out shortly after this incident. Ah well, highschool is a joke anyways.

Are you sure they are your friends?

Glad your okay OP, as for advice on your condition you should carry around some snacks, in much the same way as hyperglycemic people do. It might not be convenient, but it's better than passing out and bashing your head. Also if you don't already take iron supplements and eat more red meat.
a similar incident happened at my high school... although unlike your honest medical condition, this one was drug-induced. there was a kid who was huffing... something... i dont remember what it was. he passed out, and when it came time to go to second period, other students were just stepping over his unconscious body like nothing. the principal called an emergency assembly and basically yelled at all of us (even those of us who were completely unaware of the incident until said assembly) for being so careless. i hope they do something similar at your school to get everyone straightened out! also, glad you're well enough to be able to even post this. so sorry this happened to you OP.
Hope your okay OP, but who has school on Saturday?
Maybe they just posted this the next day? Even if they didn't there are lots of places where they have school on Saturday (such as Japan or Germany) Also, I hope you're feeling better OP ^-^
Well it was posted on 11/16/13 in the United States and the first words were Today in school so I was just wondering. Anyway again glad you're alright OP
you do realise that by default EVERY FML HAS to start with 'today', and that the vast majority of people who post on this site are not deprived of a social life and don't just immediately jump on the laptop to post their misfortunes the same day it occurred?
All fmls start with today, doesn't mean they actually happened the day it was posted
yeah, high school ******* sucks
104, nothing that a few stitches couldn't fix! And to clear up your confusion, 115, I posted this FML well over a week ago, the day after it happened. It was in moderation for so long that I assumed that it had been denied. 142- I haven't been tested but I do know that my anemia is hereditary so I don't think that would be the problem. That's interesting, though, I never knew that was a cause. And thank you all for the wishes of recovery! Besides my bruised ego, I am perfectly well.
coeliac can be hereditary too. it is crazy the amount of things it can cause, when I was diagnosed I had a lot of symptoms, but some people have no symptoms. I only found out about it when I was diagnosed, but it's very common but misdiagnosed a lot. I hope your health gets under control better so this doesn't happen again. as a person with numerous health issues I know how difficult that can be!
You go, OP. They sound like some pretty uncaring friends/acquaintances. Even a stranger should have the common sense to at least get some help. FYL, hope you feel better.
This is just plain horrible. People should have helped you even if they didn't know you at all. I'm sorry to hear you are surrounded by ignorants, OP. I hope you are okay and as others said, make sure to get enough iron - especially when you have your period. Many health and nutrition professionals learn women should have some more iron when it's the time of the month.
Highschool friends are fleeting at best, but lasagne will love you forever.
You need better friends...but still food is always a good excuse...
In their defence it was lasagna. Your alive aren't u
Lasagna is apparently better than you. Sorry OP.
I would have done the same.
