If the bakery is only paying for their time, and not their undying loyalty even in matters of petty symbolism and negligible purchases, then this doesn't and shouldn't matter. Contrary to many business owners' apparent delusions, you rent employees' time and labor, not their identities.
Obviously he/she is trying to get information on your competitor so that your bakery can improve your product.
