The guy needing to crap could've been browsing a while before he asked to use the facilities. OP wouldn't want to miss out on him sticking around in the store and maybe buying something just because he has to poop. You need to make shoppers comfortable and fill their needs to keep them in the store. That's why some large stores have snack areas and malls have food courts--you don't want them to go elsewhere just to fulfill their needs because then you'll lose $$$

I can't really say if this is a YDI or FYL since I'm not sure why people never go to your store. Maybe it's time to try and advertise a little more and if business is so bad that you can't do that, just tell your friends to tell their friends and maybe you will get some business.

Pay toilets are also a business. If you ditch whatever failure of concept the store is now in favor of a premium bladder and bowel voiding experience, you'll be stinking rich. ;) Upselling the customer to the Deluxe Wiping Package will just be icing on the urinal cake.
