nah man all they do is have a shitton of babies to live here without paying taxes and having pretty much all the rights us TAXPAYING americans have. **** them.
Why didn't you see that coming if that job meant everything to you? YDI for not realizing that your visa expired. You should've look at how to prevent the obvious events that may prevent you from attaining your dreams. However, that's something I might forget myself so I sympathize with you (fellow canadian) Hope everything works out! Good luck!
Don't apply for a job without a visa. That's just plain dumb. And you can start your job, explain the visa situation, and reapply for one online while in Poland. You only need to fly back to Canada for one day to get your biometrics done. Then you can return to Poland as a visitor or whatever. Your work should give you a month's leeway and if you have a promise of a job a visa should only take 15 days or so once it reaches your homeland's office. YDI for freaking out and posting on FLM instead of doing your research. Stupid people.
Kate from Lost (the actress, not the character) did something like this.
Why the hell don't you just marry your finance NOW so you won't need a work visa? I mean, come on, seriously? Are you willing to throw away this great job just so you can wait to have your dream wedding? Head down to the courthouse and get married already!
Not sure how it works in Poland...but if you marry a country's citizen you usually still require some sort of visa to be allowed to live and stay in that country...my husband is American, we've been married for 2 years, yet I can't just enter the States and say "Hi, I'm staying" and he can't just come to Germany and stay either...either way an immigrant visa is required.
You forgot Poland! xD
im polish ahah great girls ther... i got polish passport hehe
I know how you feel. my passport was stolen in italy on my honeymoon. I had to spend a week in quarantine
Tu t'apelles comment?
Yea, you can marry legally and have the ceremony when things are cleared up!

does anyone think this post strongly resembles the plot in The Proposal? Anywho, if it is real, and if you are officially engaged to be married, why didn't you immediately apply for a fiance visa?
