Today, I accidentally farted in the middle of my grandfather's funeral and my cousin started cracking up. It caused a chain reaction of laughter throughout all of the other cousins and my siblings. Now my aunts won't speak to any of us. FML

There is no reason why your Aunts raised such a big stink about it.

That's some strong laughing gas right there...

A good fart always changes a sad moment to happy moment.

Or a happy moment to a moment when you can't breathe or you'll throw up everywhere. but you know, same thing

Fart humour has been around for thousands of years, it's the one joke that's funny in any language or culture.

Sorry about your grandfather but this FML is hilarious. Your aunts will come around, eventually.

Yo, whatever you're on sounds dope, I want some. Just kidding, it makes you speak nonsense

I had the same happen. I felt awful but I couldn't help giggling. when the coffin was brought in an odd scent hit me and I laughed even more that I was breathing in death. turned out my sister had scented tissues

I think at funeraks especially there might be a lot of feelings going around and sometimes laughing is uncontrollable and helps release the tension. Like nervous laughter except at a funeral i imagine it must be such a difficult situation and laughing could be a way of dealing with it. I feel your aunts would be better of undertanding this.

There is no denying you're on some sort of drugs.

My father has always said funerals are for laughing and remembering the good times, it's weddings that people should be crying at.

I'd want my whole family to be happy and having fun at my funeral instead of sad and mourning the whole time. I'm sure you're grandpa would've felt the same way :)

honestly I think this is silly to be mad about. And to be able to laugh or be light hearted at a funeral is for me, a celebration of life. At my grandmother's funeral, I was sitting next to my mom who was sitting next to my Grandfather. His cell phone starts to ring in the middle of a very touching sermon given by the Priest (who had known both my grandparents well). My grandpa couldn't get it to stop so all he could do was hold his jacket pocket to try to muffle the sound. He started laughing, my mom started laughing and all of us in the front pew started laughing. And to be honest, if u knew my grandma, I KNEW in my soul she would have been laughing too. Its a memory I will never get forget. Don't worry just because u farted a t the funeral. I don't know ur family dynamic but it's probably not a memory u will forget anytime soon and the people attached to that memory wont be forgotten either.
