That's odd that people still didn't try the door. At all the stores and restaurants I worked at, people never played any bloody attention to the sign and tried to open the door, whether we were open or closed. (It was really annoying when we were legitimately closed though and they'd rattle the door a few times and glare at us.)
Yet another FML w/o the pertinant facts. Who's responsible for turning the sign on? How much of your pay is from tips? How much fun did you have goofing off all day?? Additionally, tomorrow will be easier because you got EVERYTHING prepaired today. No facts, no vote, no care. No, really!
you stole this from spongebob.
Yeah this is a spongebob instance. Noone doesnt go to a store based on the sign, especially in the day time when the signs are not very luminous anyways. "I figured the gas station was closed, there was no open sign"
i lol'd.
Errands? Errands? Errands? Errands? Errands? Errands? Are you finished with those errands?
Dumbest fake FML ever...

Was the cashier out running "those errands"?
Not a single customer?? I bet your restaurant sucks. Usually people will try their luck even if the "open" sign is not on during normal business hour.. And don't you have regular customers??
