Actually, technically in Canada you can be in possession of and smoking cigarettes at age 16 however it's illegal to buy them until you're 19 (or 18 in some provinces). Not sure why the law added that little loop hole but either way...

Marijuana has been around just as long as tabacco, we would see long term affects of it like we did tabacco if it was harmful to people. There is no proof whatsoever marijuana is harmful to you, which cannot be said about tabacco.

Little to no risk still means you have the slightest chance of getting cancer. You may not think it could happen to you but you never know, things happen.

Being alive gives you a chance of cancer.. Artificial sweeteners, caffeine, alcohol, the sun and even being old give you a risk of cancer! Everything gives you cancer these days! The only drugs I put into my body are my prescription meds and a tiny amount of caffeine, even they increase my risk of cancer! Inhaling smoke of any kind is bad for you and cancer is not the only risk. At the end of the day what you do to yourself is up to you but nothing is safe any more...
