Maybe self publish? Trust me when I say there are good number 1 bestsellers out there. Jim Butcher in particular is my favorite. Writers are often rejected many times before they get published. J. K. Rowling was one of them.
You make a good point, No. 68. Many famous authors had their first manuscripts rejected by multiple publishers.
I am a professional writer and one of the problems of the profession is that you do have to get used to rejection and criticism. It can be very discouraging and tough but you have to be tougher. At first I had to do 'regular' jobs until writing started to pay for me but now I make my living completely by writing and editing and my husband does the same. OP, don't give up and keep writing, writing, writing, writing, writing. You should be writing every day, even when you're 'dry' or don't feel like it or think you have nothing to say. You need to be disciplined. Over time you will become better. Once that happens, you can go back to your past failures, see where you went wrong and rewrite. Some of my current work is actually stuff I wrote in my twenties that didn't go anywhere. I set it aside and went back to it and was able to rework it when I was older and better and saw where it went wrong. That's my best advice. Most publishers send a form rejection letter but see if you can find out WHY your manuscript was rejected. Maybe it's something you can work on. Writing is very difficult but it is also very rewarding. Good luck. I am rooting for you!!!!
71-TLDR
No 139, you are probably one of those useless retards who thinks the word 'definitely' has an 'a' in it. Grow up, you ******* child.
Or self pub via Amazon or Smashwords.... No agent fee!!! And you can do as much marketing as you want. Been making money for me!
In fact, a lot of unfair things happen, my friend. One advice, you should try more agencies.
Was the author Katie Price by any chance?
