Today, I broke up with my boyfriend. I had only been dating him for about a month. Thinking he wouldn't take it very hard, I invited him over so I could tell him in person. Little did I know he was going to start crying on my couch and not leave for 5 hours. FML

Today, I went to my boyfriend's apartment to break up with him since he's always busy, and I haven't seen or spoke to him in almost 2 months. I arrived to find out from his landlord that he'd moved out 3 weeks ago, leaving a note saying that we were over. FML

Kudos to you for breaking up with him in person rather than by text. He would have probably handled it much worse (like crying for 10 hours on your couch) if you did that.

If you're going to break up with someone, do it at their place. That's their comfort zone and they'll be more psychologically secure there. Additionally, it allows you to politely take your exit rather than be stranded with an unwelcome visitor for hours.

Sounds like my BF when I tried breakin up with him after2 months. We barely new each other and I said it wasn't working...he bawled his eyes out begging I change my mind and how gE could change. I pitied him and stayed together for another 10 months. Baaaaaad choice
