In this sort of scenario if she says no, she's somehow a villain, and you get sympathy from strangers (as this comment thread demonstrates) and if she says yes, you are lionized. It's self-indulgent and manipulative, not creative. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you didn't know what you were doing, and let emotion guide your actions.
