Why is it kids these days feel that it's their parents' responsibility to pay for college? Are you not an adult now? Oh wait, kids want to be treated like an adult, but don't want to take on the responsibility of actually being an adult. Get a job, get a loan or get a scholarship. Quit mooching off your parents and grow up.

How is any of this indicative of her not taking financial responsibility? I paid for my degree myself, but my parents still sat down with me and helped me figure out what I was doing with loans, etc. Asking someone experienced to help you is one of the smartest and most responsible things you can do.
