Well, you only have 2 more years left. Put on your big girl pants and get loans. I bet if you fill out your fafsa as an independent (since he isn't going to help out) you'll get plenty of subsidized loans and maybe some grants if you have a good gpa. Be thankful he helped you with your first degree, my dad didn't even help with that. :c
I'm about 85% sure #20 is incorrect.
thats pell grant she talking about, but almost anyone can get a loan or a scholarship.
even if 20 is right, dad is only responsible for sharing what his salary was. he has no obligation to actually make payments. OP needs to suck it up like most of us did, take out a loan, and pay it off with the new job that the degree should help with attaining.
He's nice
WTF??^^
That's true. Every culinary degree I've ever seen is only 2 years. Now go put your schooling to use and make me a sammich. /flame on
btw the bakers course I doing is up to 4 years to compleat in saying that it is based on compitancy tho
Depends on the school you go to. Johnson & Wales and C.I.A. offer both associate and bachelor degrees, while some schools have certificate programs that that last 6-9 months depending on if you go during the day or night.
smart man
Hope you have good grades. You're going to need those scholarships.
I hate sexist people :(. FYL, OP.
well I hate freeloaders. get a job sweetheart!
Well I hate you both. So there.
Number 1 is entirely correct. It's called the Mrs. Degree because a lot of women never get past it due to marrying the Med student, Bus. major or Sports Star. It's fairly derogatory as the implication is that these Women never intended to pursue it further but simply used it as a way to look, act and sound educated during the search for Mr Most Likely to Succeed. It's a perfect scenario for these Women because if the relationship tanks they can always claim they wanted to get that Masters but dropped out to marry or carry(pregnant). Its a rude term but o so applicable in many cases.
wow way to b sexist I'm goin to college for six years and paying the loans on my own!! what now b**ch
They said most women. I personally don't want kids or to marry. Its the BA for now and maybe more degrees later.
How is it relevant that you called him at his new wife's house?
OP is probably trying to imply that her father has decided to spend his money on his new wife instead of her.
i was wondering too
Because....? FYL indeed, I would have liked to hear dads explanation as to why. Dick.

Your dad is an idiot. FYL. But grow up and learn to take financial responsibility for yourself.
How is any of this indicative of her not taking financial responsibility? I paid for my degree myself, but my parents still sat down with me and helped me figure out what I was doing with loans, etc. Asking someone experienced to help you is one of the smartest and most responsible things you can do.
