Just go out with your friends for dinner and spend a shit load of money just to spite him, and do the same thing on his birthday, or divorce.

First, happy birthday. Second, kick his ass. Third, get dressed up nice and go to a classy bar and get a hot guy to buy you drinks all night.

I was thinking as I read it that you somehow ruined a nice surprise he'd planned for you. But that didn't happen. He's just a douche. I wonder if he picked the fight just to have an excuse to go to the bar... which would make him a big-douche.

Regardless if it's your birthday or not, he should treat you with some respect. Yet, I can't assume that he doesn't already, but that on this particular day he decided to be a douche. Don't let it bring you down too much though because it'd be silly to lose something wonderful (if it is wonderful. I wouldn't know, I don't know you personally) over something like this. Yes, it's your birthday, and I admit it was jerkish of him to go off and have a beer with his buddies but it also doesn't have to be anything fancy like. You could have a picnic in a park, a homecooked meal that he made for YOU, or something of that nature. And this is coming from a 17 yr old! Well, I've put in my two cents in and I do hope I contributed something good to this. yay?

Sounds like something my boyfriend does... for my 19th birthday, he lied to me about where he was (at a bar) an then broke up with me ON my birthday... then he has the nerve to ask me to "talk it out" an apparently while he was at this bar, he danced with 2 girls (an had yet to dance with me) an had a girl kiss him on the cheak, so he says! I also found an account of his on Fling.com (a 1night stand site) that he PAID for a GOLD membership an all the pictures on his profile were either taken with my camra phone, camra, or taken at the farm I use to work at! when I got his walmart money card (I set it up so I knew the password) I found out that he had paid for this account when I was 4 weeks pregnant with HIS child! He also came home so drunk he couldnt even stand up without falling over, 2 days after I miscarried HIS child, but he said he was at "work"... their all assholes. they'll never change. if you get a good one, hold onto them! cuz their 1 in 1,000,000
