Today, I called my parents from out of state to see if they would order me a pizza using their credit card online because I'm out of money. I haven't lived with them for the past year, and they still claim me as a dependent on their taxes. They said no. FML

If you're out of money, you should be asking your parents for money for groceries that will last a week or longer, not pizza that will only last a day and a half. How are you even managing to live on your own if you don't have any money, anyway? I don't really see the second to last sentence as being relevant; seems like you're just putting that there to say that your parents owe you.

I don't think people understand this fml. She's angry because she has lived on her own for quite a bit, yet her parents are claiming her as a dependent meaning they get a tax break. I'm assuming she feels entitled to their help because of this. I don't think she's entitled, but I do think her parents are a little shady...

If you are a full time student and they are helping pay for your education or under 21 and on their health insurance they can claim you as a dependent. that doesn't mean they have to support you. It sounds like you are a spoiled brat crying cause Mom and Dad didn't buy you pizza. Get over it and FTL for having a lazy whinny kid.

I haven't been completely out of money since I started working at the age of 10 (mowing lawns and such). I can't imagine being so broke that I couldn't scrape together $10 for a pizza. your parents are doing you a favor. grow up.

Youre wrong Barbie. I pay for pizza over the phone with a card all the time. They deliver the pizza with two receipts. One for you and the other for you to add a tip. Not all pizza places do this but some do :) Man, this makes me want pizza! I said pizza a lot in this post...Pizza

OP, pizza is not something you need when you are out of money. I'm willing to bet your parents would have been willing to send you food if you REALLY needed it. The fact that you wanted pizza? You didn't need it. YDI
