All of that extremely sucks, this isn't your fault at all- you didn't know. And they can't make any exceptions for you at your work? Try to just shake it off as much as possible, maybe things can change for your username
For work purposes, in my opinion, women should keep their last name.

Usernames and tattoos should never be a lovers name. It usually ends badly.
