I completely agree with #19. Also, lying about death or injury--how are you going to feel when it really happens? People don't take the power of words seriously enough. And to #43, I know it probably doesn't mean much coming from a stranger on the other side of a computer, but my condolences.
"I'm not feeling well, so I won't be in today." How hard is that?
Why didn't you just tell the truth ad say you needed some personal time... or say you were sick...
i agree with everyone except for #10 and #42
you got what you deserved, I hope you got fired for that.
Why anyone would ever lie about a family member's death is beyond me; a) you hardly ever get away with it and b) I'd think most people would have more respect for their family than that. Or how about more respect for the people who are employing you, thus allowing you to have a source of income? I hope you lose your job. And you do know your boss could very easily inform any other prospective employers of the fact that you're a liar, right? It's nice to see caring people like your co-worker in this world, though.
Did you expect sympathy or something? You blatantly lied and got caught, YDI.

What a horrible lie. You should've seen this one coming though. Karma is a real bitch.
Never lie about some relative dying just to get away from something.
