Today, I came home from living in Spain for 2 years. My mom made dinner for me, and she had forgotten about my allergy to citrus, because she made lemon chicken. After using my EpiPen, and calling 911 for myself, I heard my mom say to my dad, "She always did have to be the center of attention." FML

This sounds like something my parents would say in a situation like that.

Oh God...I also have a nasty allergy to citrus, I know how bad the reactions could be. Your mother is horrible. Oh yes, because your daughter is DEFINITELY having a horrible, possibly fatal, allergic reaction JUST TO GET ATTENTION. There wouldn't be that problem if you hadn't given her food she's allergic to. -_- Even after several years of not seeing someone in my family, they still remember each person's likes, dislikes, allergies, etc. FYL OP, I hope you were alright afterwards. :(

I can totally sympathize with you OP. In high school some girls thought it would be funny to force feed me peanut butter in the locker room. And they knew fully well I was allergic to it. I went into anaphylactic shock and they left me there in the locker room alone. I almost died because of it. I'm really sorry OP I hope that you're okay.
