Today, I caught my mother attempting to write a $1400 cheque. To whom? The proprietor of a "Christian charity fund" with whom she had been having Internet conversations. The proprietor's name, and that on the cheque, was "Herp McDerpington". FML

You might want to "check" your spelling..

Cheque is correct in Oxford English, however, check is correct in American English.

18 - Derp. There's more than one way to spell cheque, just like there's more than one way to spell favourite, colour, etc.

The real tragedy is some one named Herp McDerpington.
