Today, I decided I didn't care about my pride, and so I asked this girl out in a text. After an hour of no response I asked again. Later I got a text saying, "I'm sorry, This is Emily's mom. Emily isn't here at the moment, but if I were you, I wouldn't ask again." I was rejected by her mom. FML

Today, after telling a friend I was contemplating asking a girl to prom, my friend took my phone, told me to have some balls, and texted the girl asking her to prom. She said no, because I asked her over text instead of in person. She refuses to believe I didn't send the text. FML

Today, I was planning on asking out a girl I've been really close to for a few months now. I was with her when I got a forward text from my friend. IF it was actually her mom, did you consider the possibility that when she said, "Don't ask again," it didn't mean "her answer is no," she's just trying to tell you to quit texting so much? Honestly, I feel like an old lady saying this, but with all the constant facebook/twitter updates we have today, people are so ADD. You can't even wait one hour for a response! If I were that girl and I checked my phone after a couple hours to find MULTIPLE messages from a guy, I'd be freaked out! Grow up, dude.

Dude, be a MAN! Ask her face to face. Through text is pathetic and a loser's way out. You have no pride if you did it through a text. I would NEVER date a man who asked me out through text, because that means to a girl like me that he doesn't care enough about me to ask face to face. Also, that would make seeing each other again really awkward if she did agree...
