No, you like that someone misses their grandma.
You could easily pass this off as you liking the affection she had for her grandma...it wouldn't be that hard, at all. And then just say "I was close to my Grandma too...RIP for both" or if she's still alive, "I'm close to my Grandma too, RIP to your grandmother." Easy son, that's how it's done.
