Today, I decided to conquer my fear of blades, and tried shaving my legs with a razor. I sat on the side of my bathtub and wet my legs, but some of the water splashed. I slipped on it and fell back, hitting my head on the tile wall and slicing my leg open at the same time. FML

Well in another year I'm sure you'll work up enough courage to try again.

even no-shave November has its casualties

This is why you don't sit on the side of the tub to shave your legs.

I winced in pain just reading that. I sort of dry shave sometimes when I'm in a rush and always regret it - it's not too bad at the time but it hurts like hell afterwards.

THANK YOU, that was my first thought too and I was surprised I scrolled down so long before someone mentioned it. The mind boggles trying to work out why anyone would sit on the side of the bath for pretty much any reason...that is just not how baths work.

I honestly don't get why everyone suggesting shaving cream is getting downvoted. It will prevent razor burn and lots of nicks. Soap works too.

O M G. I feel so so so so so sorry for you right now.

You could always try one of those no- razor, light shaving thingies

#61 It doesn't hurt me, too bad it hurts you though.
