Today, I decided to conquer my fear of blades, and tried shaving my legs with a razor. I sat on the side of my bathtub and wet my legs, but some of the water splashed. I slipped on it and fell back, hitting my head on the tile wall and slicing my leg open at the same time. FML

Well in another year I'm sure you'll work up enough courage to try again.

Eek, but I'm sure it was a coincidence. A simple razor isn't something to be irrationally afraid of.

That's just a fluke accident. Don't let this rare occurrence stop you from trying to overcome your fears.

I can't be the only person bothered by 'wetted'.

I voted YDI exclusively because of the word "wetted".

I actually had to check my dictionary to clarify that "wet" is the past participle. It's actually both "wet" and "wetted."

Now it's a fear of blades and a fear of wet floors lol

What kind of blade were you using? A simple shaving razor which has 3-4 blades usually won't accidentally slice you, and even if it does slice you the slice will be shallow enough that the bleeding stops within an hour at most and the cut will normally heal in a day or two

OP was using a straight razor to shave her legs obviously. :p Leaving her with a very "Sweeney Todd-esque" sliced open leg.

I hope you're ok. my friend uses a straight edge blade (I think that's what it's called) and he cut a chunk of his chin off because his brother scared him.

That's why I stick to Veets. Slap it on, scrape it off & rinse. Repeat as needed :-)

tried veet once, got a really bad chemical burn. I'll never do that again.

"Everything you want is on the other side of fear". Possible concussion and a bloody gaping wound? Strange tastes OP.
